The area around the Barnhouse and Farmhouse has many fun country roads to bike ride on where you will see all sorts of farm animals and amazing farm houses along with great views of the Monument and Bookcliffs.
We always try to get some hikes in when we are in town and there are so many to chose from.
We love to do the Lunch Pale Loop which is super close to town.
The Mica Mine Hike is a super scenic 2.6 mile round trip hike into an old abandoned
mica mine.
Dinosaur Hill Hike is fun and you will see fossils of several dinosaurs.
The Colorado National Monument is a drive you have to go on. It's about a 30 mile loop of some of the most amazing scenery you will ever see. Make sure and stop at all the lookouts for all the amazing views.
One of our favorite things to do is to ride to Fruita and stop at the Bestslope Coffee Shop which is ranked #4 coffee shop in the country by USA Today.
